PROFILE

Studio:

"HARD" is a multi-disciplinary group of designers working primarily in the fields of product design, architecture, interior and furniture.

The studio was founded by Oliver Davies and Giovanni Guacci in Summer 2006 and is based in Milan, Italy.
They combine over 15 years experience in the industry to create a team with a multifaceted approach to any design challenge, exploring new possibilities through advanced research.

By offering professionalism to a wide range of clients with diverse demands, Hard���s target is to reach the highest level of creative proposals.


Services:

Despite the capacity to manage full projects, ���HARD group��� can work in collaboration with other
studios and agencies offering creative and intellectual participation on many levels.

Oliver DaviesCo-founder and head of Design.
Born in Newport, Wales, Oliver earned a B.A. in Furniture & Product Design from The Nottingham Trent University, School of Art & Design in 2004. Prior to Hard, Oliver worked as an assistant in residential building redevelopment and as an apprentice carpenter before moving to Milan to begin a 3 year collaboration with Sawaya&Moroni working as an interior architect, furniture designer and production manager.

Ever keen to broaden his horizon, he is a self taught web designer, programmer and graphics enthusiast, involved in personal, as well as international web and graphics projects.

When not in the office you will probably find him conquering mountains with his bike or carving fresh lines on his snowboard somewhere in the Alps.

Giovanni Guacci

Giovanni GuacciCo-founder and head of Architecture.
Born in Lecce, Italy, Giovanni graduated in Architecture with Professional Skills from The University of Florence in 1990. He then left for Texas USA and in 1992 The University of Houston awarded him a Masters in Industrial Design with an Architectural Aerospace Specialisation.

Since then he has enjoyed international success, generating work in a variety of fields, including industrial and product design, interior design and architecture for private clients as well as firms such as Sawaya&Moroni, iGuzzini, Costume National , Viceversa, Ntt, and Outlookzelco Europe.

He currently resides in Milan but when he isn���t there, it will be really hard to find him because he will most probably be exploring some distant part of the world.
